The Laxford House Christmas Tree book cover

The Laxford House Christmas tree
a fairy story for children

‘‘Be careful what you wish for’, the long-suffering fairy told the tiny Christmas tree when it was planted in the front garden of Chris and Avril’s house, but that didn’t stop the tree wishing for all sorts of things. It wanted to be like the brightly decorated tree in the window of the house opposite, it wanted to be the tallest tree in the world so that birds would make their homes in it … but above all, it wanted to be … FAMOUS!’

Based on the true story of our Christmas tree, I’ve written a short story for children (and adults!). Illustrated by the beautiful artwork of John Horton and photographs of the real event.
